A Performance with a Meal

Dementia Diaries // (Dziennik Demencji)

by Maria Jastrzebska

In the elegant setting of Lewes's Anglo-Polish café, the fifth performance of poet Maria Jastrzebska’s moving drama of confusion and conflict centred around an Anglo-Polish family where both parents are suffering the onset of dementia.

Performed by Polish and British actors, this professional production for five voices combines tenderness, moments of surreal humour and occasional strong language. With incidental music by Peter Copley for flute and cello, performed live by the composer (cello) and Anne Hodgson (flute). An LLL Production, directed by Mark C. Hewitt.

First seen during a series of sell-out performances at Eastbourne Festival 2009.

Next performance: Sunday 20 September

Meal from 6pm / Performance approx 8pm

Advance booking essential
